Dr. Satyanarayana Swamy Mruthinti
has been awarded the
Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award by Marquis Who's Who. The award is given in recognition of his outstanding contributions to his profession. Since 1899, Marquis Who's Who has chronicled the lives of the most accomplished individuals and innovators from every significant field of endeavor, including politics, business, medicine, law, education, art, religion and entertainment.

Concrete Work

Beginning, Monday, June 11, the City of Carrollton will begin milling and resurfacing University Drive from Lovvorn Road to the bookstore. The work will continue through the remainder of the week. Please use caution while traveling in this area and obey all flagmen and barricades. |

Termination Notification
When a faculty, staff or temporary employee terminates employment with the university, department managers must complete the
termination notification web form. Ideally the form would be submitted as soon as the last day of employment is known but must be submitted no later than five days after the termination date. This form also needs to be submitted within 30 days for employees who change departments on campus.
TRS Contribution Rates
The Teachers Retirement System (TRS) determines employee and employer contribution rates one year prior to their effective date. The TRS, a defined benefit plan, operates on a fiscal year cycle (July 1 – June 30). Please note there is a change in the employer contribution rate for Fiscal Year 2019.
The TRS employer contribution rate will increase from 16.81 percent to 20.90 percent, while the employee contribution rate will remain at 6 percent. The new rate will become effective July 1, 2018.
FISCAL YEAR 2019 –TRS Contribution Rates

Employer Contribution Rate – 20.90 percent

Employee Contribution Rate – 6 percent
The contribution rates for the Optional Retirement Plan (ORP) will remain the same for the remainder of the 2018 calendar year. The ORP employer contribution rate will remain at 9.24 percent and the employee contribution rate will remain at 6 percent.

Assessment Records Retention Informational Meeting
Have you ever wondered what you should do with those assessment reports and materials used to create said reports? Come hear from the director of assessment, Amanda Thomas, and records and information manager, Tara Pearson, on how you should be maintaining these records. You will learn what you should be keeping, how long you should keep them and in what format. You will also learn about the new Records Information Management (RIM) Policy 8.4.
