University Communications and Marketing announces Colton Campbell as its new Director of Strategic Communications. Colton is no stranger to UWG, as he started on UCM’s staff as a communications specialist in November 2017 and served as manager of media relations beginning in July 2019. As a lifetime resident of Carrollton, he brought several years of experience in media and print journalism to UCM. Always a writer, Colton graduated magna cum laude with a degree in journalism from Auburn Unversity in 2011. He is currently pursuing his MBA at UWG.


As Director of Strategic Communications for UCM, Colton will develop and manage the university’s comprehensive communications strategy, while leading the daily activities of the UCM communications team.


A natural at keeping a calm persona, Colton enjoys reading through Stephen King’s bibliography in his spare time and is an avid board game player. He and his wife, Becca, have a brand new baby girl named Presley, and two dogs.

The University Theatre Company presents Abigail/1702 by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa. Tickets are $10 for adults and may be purchased online. For faculty/staff two-for-one tickets, please go to the Townsend Center box office. Performances are November 19-22 at 7:30 p.m. in the Dangle Theatre.

The Nutcracker
