Refresher Training Deadline Extended
All employees are reminded to complete the annual training requirements no later than December 1. This training is a directive of the University System of Georgia. Look for the training titles bundled together under Work West Compliance Refresher 2017 in DevelopWest. The titles include Cart and Vehicle Safety, Risk Management, Information Security Awareness and Sexual Misconduct.

Green Zone Training
The Center for Adult Learners and Veterans is offering the last Green Zone Training for 2017 on November 30 from 1:30-4:30 p.m. Similar to Safe Zone, Green Zone provides participants with tools to understand the experiences of military-connected students and the confidence to act as advocates for them on campus. SAC Toy Drive
The Staff Advisory Council is seeking your support this holiday season to help sponsor 18 local children who unfortunately will not have anything to open Christmas morning. If you or your department would like to sponsor one of these children in need, please contact aprils@westga.edu. You will be given the child's information such as gender, age, size, gift list ideas, etc. The sponsorships usually range between $75-$100 per child. The deadline is December 11. SAC will also be collecting toys for Toys for Tots on December 5. There will be a drive-through drop-off throughout the day at the Alumni House

Purchasing/Pcard Forum
The purchasing staff will host a refresher meeting on how goods and services are purchased on December 12 from 10-11:30 a.m. in the Campus Center. Both new and seasoned employees are encouraged to attend. After discussing general purchasing topics, time will be devoted to the p-card plan with a demonstration on the Works website and how to complete google logs. Cardholders and approvers will be given training credit for attending.

Supervisor and Management Training Program
Training is available for all supervisors and managers who are responsible for guiding the work of others. The first session in December will focus on performance management as we prepare to enter into the performance evaluation season. To register for a session, log in to Develop West, Instructor Led Training to see available sessions for December 6 & 7.
