"Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God."

Usher In The Kingdom of God - Uganda Outreach Starts Now!

Greetings! ,

We are excited to announce our next mission to Uganda which is just 2 days away.  There is a lot to prepare before we leave, including gathering ministry supplies for children, study Bibles for Pastors and discipleship materials.  A team of 16 from the U.S. and about 10 Uganda young adults will minister in Arua and Budo.
We leave the U.S. June 28th and will return July 13th.

While in Uganda, we will share the Good News of Jesus in schools, hospitals, village ministry and a large festival that is expected to attract thousands each evening.

Usher In is partnering once again with Jose Zayas Evangelism International and Africa Renewal Ministries to help with the spreading of the Gospel and ministry to those in need. Our good friend Pastor Apollo Nyankori will also travel from Lira to help with the ministry. With the strategic location of Arua -- just a few kilometers from the Congo border and close to South Sudan -- we are praying that revival will begin here and spread to these other needy countries.

Before we return home, we will spend several days in  Budo, where we will be having a children's festival and youth outreach at Budo Community Church with our friends Pastor Jonathan Kabanda and his wife Olive.  Last time we did this in 2013, we had 800 children attend and are praying for even greater impact this year.

Please join us in praying for a harvest of souls! There are many things we can do with our time and resources but one is absolutely necessary --- to obey the Lord's command to  'Go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them, in the name of the Father, and the Son and the Holy Spirit - teaching them to obey all that I have commanded you...."

See our itinerary and prayer list below, so you can pray with us for a move of God in Uganda!

 Transition to Colorado Springs

One year ago this month, Sandy and I sold our home in Oregon and made the move to Colorado Springs, Colorado. As I sit here tonight, I’m looking at America’s mountain – Pikes Peak and the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains. They are beautiful but we didn’t move here for the view.

I’ve been given the privilege of working with Compassion International, one of the world’s largest and I think the best child sponsorship organization in the world – releasing children from poverty – in Jesus name. Compassion currently cares for over 1.5 million children in 26 countries around the world. Christ centered – Child focused - Church based– Committed to integrity. I have seen first hand the magnificent work as I visited the Child Development Centers in Ecuador in April and heard testimonies of those who have grown up and were greatly impacted by the ministry. Education, food, healthcare, spiritual development and much more – bringing hope to those in hopeless situations.

I also have had the joy of connecting with those who have a heart to share the good news of Jesus around the world and are praying for the continued work and development of a sustainable support base for global mission through Usher In Ministries. This ministry is continuing as we build a network of supporters to expand the work we have been involved with since 2009.

Won't you join us?

Gospel Tools
Local Language Bibles, Evangecubes,
Gospel Tracts,

* When a Gospel tract is handed to a person in Africa, they do not dump it in the trash.  If they can read, they often stop and read it right then and take it home to share with others.

* Although the Bible is translated into many of the tribal languages, typically only 10% of the people in Church own their own Bible. How can they grow in their daily walk with Jesus without His Word? Usher In is committed to help get Bibles into the hands of believers.

* An application has been created by our friends at KOLO Group, for iPhones and Android devices.  It is a remarkable tool to provide the local language audio  Bible and videos such as The Jesus Film that can be shared on a tablet or smart phone.

You can check it out by downloading it for free on your device.  Search for 'Kolo Africa' and see how technology is making God's Word more readily available for workers in the field to use.

Do you have a heart for providing Bibles, tracts or other tools for evangelism? When you donate to Usher In, just designate your gift for  'tools'.

What is our response to all He has done for us?

The Scriptures are clear that the believers sins are forgiven -- paid for on the cross of our Savior, Jesus Christ. We've been given the wonderful gift of eternal life!

The Scriptures are also clear that every believer will give an account of his life as a follower of Jesus when He returns.

He rescued us for a purpose and has given us work to do.

What are we to do?

1) Share the love of Christ in practical ways with those around us - both believers and those who don't know Him.

2) Hold fast to the truth of His Word - even when it is contrary to what men say.

3) Draw close to Him and He will draw near to us and will direct our paths.

4) Walk by faith in His character and great power -- even when we face trials and life  doesn't seem to make sense.

5) Share the way to Jesus -- no one will ever be saved from theeir condition and condemnation unless someone speaks up and shares the Gospel.

Since we are to one day give an account, let's pray for wisdom, boldness and grace to share Him to a world that desperately needs Him.

Every day - we are to present ourselves as His instruments to be used in our workplace, our neighborhood, with our family and friends -- to proclaim the excellencies of He who has called us out of darkness into His marvelous light.

Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus and prepare now for the day you will bow before Him and give an account of your life as a child of the Living God who loves you and died for you.

2 Corinthians 5:15 -- Live it - by the power of Christ in you !
