Time for Thanks!

I am so thankful for all of you! You found Vocation Ministry somehow, either by coming to a workshop or at www.vocationministry.com, and many of you have said YES to building a VOCATION-FRIENDLY environment at your parish. You are making a difference in our Church by inspiring a new generation of priests, consecrated men and women, and sacramental marriages. I realize that it may not always feel that way, but we don’t know how the Holy Spirit will use what you are doing at your parish. God cannot be outdone in generosity, so your generosity of time, talent, and sometimes even treasure in this work, will be fruitful!

Whew! Another thanks and congratulations goes to you for making it through the busiest time of year for Vocations: Priesthood Sunday and National Vocation Awareness Week all within a few weeks!! I can’t wait to hear about your activities at your parish! Let me know if you used any of the resources from Vocation Ministry to make your activities come alive, too.

    World Day for Cloistered Life

      November 21, 2017

Bulletin item for the weekend of November 18-19, 2017:

This Tuesday, November 21 (the Memorial of the Presentation of the Virgin Mary in the Temple), the Church celebrates World Day of Cloistered Life, an ecclesial event for all Catholics to commemorate the hidden lives of cloistered and monastic religious. Ways to honor the event include prayer (participating in a novena, offering up Masses, etc.), encouragement (writing letters to contemplative communities, visiting them, calling to thank them, etc.), and material support (monetary donations).

[Here mention any specific ways the parish or parishioners can commemorate this event. Also, note any cloistered convents or monasteries within the (arch)diocese.]

      Change is in the Air!

Vocation Ministry has seen incredible growth this year. Due to the awesome response to the survey a few months ago, I am excited to announce a ton of powerful resources that we will offer to help serve you, your ministry, and your parish.

We are developing podcasts, webinars, and other online training opportunities, which will be available soon on VocationMinistry.com.

As a nonprofit organization, we must charge a small fee to help fund these exciting new services. We will continue to offer much of our content for free, but beginning January 1, 2018, we will offer a basic membership that will include access to the phases section of the website, the fees will be as follows:

      Individual Membership
$4.99 a month or $50 a year (16% discount for the yearly plan)

      Parish Membership*
$9.99 a month or $99 a year (17% discount for the yearly plan)

*The parish membership allows all Parish Vocation Ministry members to access the resources and the account will remain active throughout changes in leadership.
I am so happy that many of you use the weekly vocations bulletin blurbs from www.vocationminstry.com.

Check back before the beginning of Advent for the materials for 2017-2018.

Also look for NEW General Intercessions for Sunday Mass, coming soon!
      Keep in Touch!

Don’t forget to email me back with your stories of triumph or struggle. If you have questions, know that I am here to support you in this mission of Building a Culture of Vocations One Parish at a Time! Email me!

As always, know that you are in my prayers. If you think of it, please pray for me, too.

        God bless you!
