Fall is officially here. The leaves are falling, pumpkins are ready for carving, and of course holiday decorations are already lining the shelves of our local shops.
There is so much to do, but make sure you take a break to participate in some of our great events and campaigns coming up. First on the list is
Paint Yreka Pink - this is an annual campaign to support the awareness and education of Breast Cancer. All businesses can participate. Please click above for more information.
Next on November 17, is our
Jimmy Buffett Holiday Dinner Dance, which is sure to be a blast. Get dressed up and head on down for a great dinner, signature cocktails, dessert auction and so much more. Tickets go on sale Thursday.
We are also back with the

Yreka City Council Candidates for
November 6, 2018 Election
The Yreka Chamber of Commerce invites you to attend the candidates’ forum on Thursday October 11. The forum will begin at 6 p.m. at the Yreka Community Center. Doors open at 5:30pm.
Please direct any questions to the Yreka Chamber at 530-842-1649 or email amandaeastlick@yrekachamber.com.
Everyone is welcome. Please arrive on time. Questions will be accepted from the audience, and are to be written on an index card (provided at the forum). Not all questions will be answered.
Forum Format:
Moderator:
A moderator will pose the questions and be responsible for keeping time.
Opening Statements:
Each Council Candidate will have the opportunity to make an opening statement, which will be limited to three minutes.
Forum Questions:
Questions will be accepted the night of the forum (or assembled by the Chamber if needed). Each question will first be directed to one candidate and then the other candidates will have the opportunity to respond if they choose. You are not obligated to respond to a question unless it was directed to you first. Two minutes will be allotted per person, per question.
Closing Statements:
Each Council Candidate will have the opportunity to make a closing statement that will be limited to two minutes.
Measure L Representative will have five minutes to discuss this measure. There will be no questions on this at the forum. |
