Video Art Projections by Naoko Tosa

Digital Dimensions will feature the Genesis video art series of Naoko Tosa, an internationally renowned Japanese media artist and recent Japan Cultural Envoy.

The galleries will be transformed into a scenic environment with video projections of dry ice and Japanese colored inks on water. Tosa is known for her use of cutting edge technology, and she uses high-speed cameras to explore Zen concepts of chance inspired by Rimpa, one of the major historical schools of Japanese painting.

Digital Dimensions: Video Art Projections by Naoko Tosa is presented with the support of The Japan Foundation, Manila and with thanks to the Agency for Cultural Affairs of the Government of Japan.

Pick up Japanese artisanal goods at Snapshot Japan, a three-day pop-up event at the lobby this February 9 to 11 during museum hours (10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m). Stop by and check out our exhibitors, who will be selling apparel, accessories, cosmetics, food, and even premium sake (Japanese rice wine).

The exhibition illustrates the master sculptor’s legacy of innovation, scale, and creativity through his historical monuments. Visitors can explore Castrillo’s work using the 360-degree virtual reality in the Samsung Digital Gallery.

A popular platform for Philippine modern and contemporary art, Art Fair Philippines 2017 will feature 46 of the county’s leading galleries alongside artists from Southeast Asia, Japan, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.

The ART FAIR PH/TALKS will include four talks that will be free of charge to all ticketholders. Museum Foundation of the Philippines will carry out again the ART FAIR PH/TOURS. This year will also see the launch of 10 Days of Art, a series of events across Makati and BGC from February 9 to 19.
