Annette Reid
Laurels for
Lossed
e-tuxedocat is proud to announce that
Lossed, written by and starring our very own Annette Reid, is in another film festival. Not just any ole festival.
Lossedis an Official Selection at the International Family Film Festival. The festival runs Nov. 6th through 8th at nearby Raleigh
Studios. We don't have the exact screening schedule yet, but you can always block off the dates. It's okay - do it in pen.
Tail wag!
This would be a good time to announce that
Let Me Finish, produced by Annette, will be shown at the 1st Annual Panama International Film Festival LA. Guess what! It's also in November. On the 21st. Two for the price of one. How lucky are we?
Meow! We should really be asking how lucky is Annette. To which we will reply, you mean talented, my friend. Talented.
Tune in next month as we should have those highly coveted screening times. Until then...

"
John Brown's Body",
By Stephen Vincent Benet,
An Epic Work in Progress
JACK (Jens, Annette, Carlos & Kent) has embarked on what may be a lengthy journey, examining the epic poem by Stephen Vincent Benet. "Before anything else,
John Brown's Body is a history of the Civil War - in some respects, Bruce Catton has said, the best single book ever written on the subject."
JACKhas been poring though the entire text, savoring the stories set in such a pivotal period of American history. Only 150 years ago, but seems so timely now with the Black Lives Matter movement and the Confederate flag controversy.
They need your ears to come and listen to a few passages and see what YOU think about the piece, and where they might take it from here. Only about an hour of poetry with conversation and treats following.
They truly appreciate their theatre and poetry community as well as your ongoing support. See you at 7:30 on October 12th in the Park LaBrea Activities Center Theater. Email
JACK@callusjack.com for reservations.
