Annette Reid
Stars in
Lossed, Now in Post-Production
Last month,
e-tuxedocat told you to stay tuned for Post-Production notes on Annette Reid's latest venture, filming
Lossed and
Let Me Finish for JACK, her Production Company. This month,
e-tuxedocat shares those notes.
- The end of June found JACK, led by Annette Reid, on set, flexing their filmmaking muscles to complete shooting on two short films at the same time:
Lossed and
Let Me Finish. With Annette starring in
Lossed, she had to rely heavily on Director,

Annette with Director Carrasco |
Carlos Carrasco, and the crew to fill in any producer gaps that may occur. Which is exactly what make-up artist Olympia did. Olympia took care of Annette all day. Not just her make-up, fetching her water, assuaging producer fears, and making her feel like a princess all day.
- Now, for the trivia portion of our article. Olympia, Annette's make-up artist, and Jens, Annette's co-star and fellow JACK member, are both from Toronto, but they didn't know each other there. Nor did they have anybody in common in Toronto.
- With regard to editing,
Lossed is more complicated, so it's first on the editing docket. The rough cut looks really good and it's ready to go to the composer, Chris Piorkowski. The whole film should be finished by the middle of August and ready to enter festivals by the end of August. As
Let Me Finish was shot more continuously, the editing for it should be a bit easier. It will be completed closer to the end of August.
Salutations,
P.S. Here's is the link to Olympia's website. As well as the link to Chris Piorkowski's website.

Ms. Reid, as part of the all day meetings from 7:30am to 9:00 at night, met with Komen's Executive Director. In these meetings, Ms. Reid was brought up to speed about the Komen Mission and Vision as well as how the Foundation will proceed over the next few years. Ms. Reid commented, "It was like going to Disneyland and being redusted with Pixie Dust. The conference reminded everyone of the reason for all the work the Komen Foundation does."
