Japan's 3 Great Gardens
Dear ,

Welcome to the eighth Dreaming Edition of the Japan Travel Trade Newsletter.

It is still unclear when international travel will resume, but until then we will continue bringing you travel dreaming inspiration and updates.

One positive development is that as of 30 October, Japan has removed the entry ban for travellers from Australia and New Zealand, among a few other countries. Travellers from these countries are still required to quarantine for 14 days upon arrival in Japan. Please refer to this announcement from the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs for further details on the Japanese entry conditions, and continue to monitor departure conditions as specified by the Australian and New Zealand governments.

In this month’s newsletter we introduce our new luxury brochure, full of ideas for adding a touch of indulgence to your clients’ next trip, and share the announcement of a free online streaming component to this year’s Japanese Film Festival as well as new of the opening of an exciting new attraction for thrill-seekers.

 #7: Autumn Leaves (koyo)

Most people are aware of Japan's iconic cherry blossoms in spring, but the beauty of the autumn leaves season is still relatively unknown to the average traveller. Imagine walking through an ancient temple and gazing out the window to a sea of fiery red and gold autumn foliage. The season for autumn leaves viewing is called 'koyo' and can be enjoyed for much longer than the cherry blossoms, starting as early as late September up north and as late as late December in the south, and generally lasting for about a month in each place (in contrast to sakura, which only bloom for about a week!).
