Congratulations to Gabriel Watson, HHS student and Life Scout in Troop 7070. Watson recently completed his Eagle Project with the installation of four 6' benches in front of the HHS Freshman Academy. These benches provide students a place to sit while waiting for pick up.

According to Watson, "the whole project went very smoothly with no major hiccups. Once the holes were dug, everything fell into place. I wouldn’t have been able to do it without my gracious donors and helpful volunteers."

Thanks for your support and for this wonderful addition to HHS.

Rivarly Game vs. Grissom
Friday, September 2, HHS varsity football takes on Grissom in a 7A Region 8 game. Kickoff is at 7:00 pm at Milton Frank Stadium, and HHS is the Away team this year.  Tickets are available on GoFan.co.  General entry is at the main gate by the concession stands under the scoreboard.  Gates will be open at 5:30 pm.  Everyone must pass through the metal detectors.  The clear bag policy is in effect.  Please come early so you have enough time to enter the stadium prior to kickoff.

HCS Clear Bag Procedure & Security at Athletic Events
Huntsville City Schools will implement an athletic event clear bag/backpack procedure. That procedure is as follows:
•    To be permitted, bags will be clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC and not exceed 12"x6"x12".
•    Small bags do not need to be clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC only if they do not exceed 4.5"x6.5".
•    For full details, please visit the HCS Athletics page at www.huntsvillecityschools.org/athletics
•    Please note spectators may be subject to metal detector searches upon entering venues.  Please plan additional entry time for entry.
We look forward to an exciting athletic season and wish everyone the best of luck!

Good Sportsmanship
This is a reminder that good sportsmanship at athletic events is not only an expectation, but also a requirement.  Our games and competitions are family-friendly events between high school teams.  Profane language, racial slurs, or harassment of the officials, players, coaches, or fellow fans will not be permitted and will result in immediate ejection of the fan from the campus for the current and future events without further warning.

Senior Yearbook Information
This year, students will be required to submit an application to have their Quotes, Baby Pictures, Activities, etc., included in the Yearbook.

Senior Information Applications/Packets will be handed out to students during Homecoming Week. Copies will be made available in the Front Office of the main building and in Mrs. Peck’s room 226. There will also be digital copies posted in the Senior Schoology group, on the Yearbook Facebook Page, and in the Yearbook Schoology group.

We understand how important it is for Seniors to have the opportunity to have all the special parts of themselves included in their final yearbook. For this reason, we have implemented ways to prevent student information from being left out. The ONLY way for a student to have their information included in the Yearbook is to submit the packet application in its entirety prior to the due date. There will be no exceptions. The packets will be due 11/01/2022.
