The girls golf team finished as state runner up this year at the tournament at RTJ Hampton Cove!! This is the second year in a row. The boys team made it as far as the substate competition at Timberline Golf Course in Calera.

Important End of Year Medication Pick Up Information
Please plan to have all medication picked up no later than 12:00 pm on the last day of school, Wednesday, 5/25/22. Guardians are encouraged to pick up medications beginning the week of 5/16/22 during school hours. On arrival, please check in with the Main Building attendance office or Freshman Academy front desk to let them know you are there to pick up medication in the clinic.
Medications must be signed out by a parent or designated adult unless the student is authorized to self-carry medications. Any medications remaining after the deadline will be destroyed in accordance with the Alabama School Health Services Administrative Medication Policy. Any questions regarding medication pickup should be directed to the onsite school nurse at 256-428-8058 (Main clinic) or 256-428-8074 (Freshman Academy nurse).

Boys Basketball Tryouts for the 2022-23 season are coming up!
Monday May 23 & Tuesday May 24 at Huntsville's Main Gym
Junior Varsity Boys 1:30-3:00 pm
Varsity Boys 3:15-4:45 pm
Freshman Boys 5:00-6:30 pm
Participants will need an updated physical in hand.
If interested, please contact Coach Schweers in the main gym today or tomorrow to receive a tryout packet. Coach Schweers can be reacher at John.Schweers@hsv-k12.org with any questions.

RETURN STUDENT REGISTRATION
We are looking forward to the 2022-2023 school year. In order to register your student for the new year, you will either: access your Registration email that was sent from HCS on 2-11-22 or you can simply follow the instructions below. (Note: the email could have possibly gone to your Spam, Junk or Trash.)

Registration for Returning Student 2022-2023

This short video will hopefully be of help to you as you complete Registration. It takes just a minute to load.
Note: Uploading the Proof of Residency is very important! This will ensure that your student's enrollment & Registration is complete. This will also allow them to receive their schedule when they are distributed before the new school year.
Required Proof of Residencies:
Same Address
Proof of residence for same address requires a current document in the parent/guardian’s name going to that address.
1. Utility bill
2. Cable or land line telephone bill addressed to the parent or guardian at the address being established as residence not past 30 days old.
• Parents can take hard copies of Proof of Residence to SCHOOL OFFICES now.
• PowerSchool Returning Student ONLINE Registration is OPEN for proof of residence submission online.
• Snapcode letters were sent to all students in February 2022 for completing RETURNING student registration.
• Parents/guardians can take a hard copy of proof of residence to school offices now through July 16, 2022.
Change of Address
Proof of residence for a change of address requires 2 current, valid documents as proofs of residence.
1. Signed lease
2. Copy of deed
3. Current mortgage statement, or
4. Notarized letter from the property manager that must include the parent/guardian’s name.
5. Utility bill
6. Cable or land line telephone bill addressed to the parent or guardian at the address being established as residence not past 30 days old.
Students attending a school on a Shared Residence Affidavit must provide documentation annually.

Huntsville High School Softball tryouts will be May 23 and 24 from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Tryouts are open to all rising 7th graders through current 11th graders. Prospective players will need a current up to date AHSAA Physical and fill out the Google Doc link: https://forms.gle/8npb45VErfNUQvRY7

Seniors, as part of your check out to receive your cap and gown you need to complete the HCS senior survey in your Naviance account. Directions: 1) Log into Naviance through your Clever account; 2)Click on "About Me" in the top right corner of your home page; 3) Click on "Sureveys From Your School"; 4) Click on "HCS Senior Exit Survey 2022"; 4) Be sure to push submit when you have completed it. If your Naviance isn't working, you may get a paper copy to complte from your senior counselor.

The HHS Senior Picnic is scheduled for Sunday, May 22 from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the Monte Sano Lodge.
We will have a Fiesta Picnic theme and all HHS 2022 Seniors are invited! There will be live music, great food, games and lots of door prizes. This will be a wonderful night to celebrate our amazing graduates.
Please consider helping sponsor this annual tradition by joining the host list. It is wholly funded by HHS parents/families/friends. To make it a success, we will need the support of many. The suggested host donation is $100 but we welcome any gift! The name of all hosts will appear on the invitation. Invitations/host list will be published May 1.
