Hey Panthers! Battle of the Bands is tomorrow, Friday May 6 RAIN OR SHINE at 6 PM! If the weather is nice, it will be held in the courtyard. If it is raining, we will hold the competition in the auditorium. There’s going to be food, music and a fun competition. Bring a chair or blanket to relax and the $5 entrance fee (which will be donated to the make a wish foundation). There are 3 bands competing! We hope to see everyone there to support!

Join us for an introduction into senior year. We will discuss everything from how to request transcripts, applying to college, scholarships, etc. The presenters will be the senior counselor for next year, the senior sponsor, and the college counselor.

HHS BOWLING TRYOUTS
‘22-‘23 Season
Huntsville High? HHS Bowling needs athletes to help us with our continued success in 7A Bowling.
HHS Bowling tryouts for the upcoming 2022-2023 Season will be held from 4:00 - 5:15 p.m. Tuesday, May 10 and Wednesday, May 11 at Pin Palace Bowling Center. Cost for the tryout each day to include 2 games will be $5. You must have an up to date physical to tryout! This is an AHSAA policy. Bring a copy of your physical with you to tryouts. Please see Coach Lang in Rm. 247 or email at jeffrey.lang@Hsv-k12.org for any questions about tryouts or our program.

Newcomers - Meet and greet 1 mile run will be held at John Hunt on May 12 at 4pm. All current team members and incoming/interested need to attend!

Huntsville High School Softball tryouts will be May 23 and 24 from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Tryouts are open to all rising 7th graders through current 11th graders. Prospective players will need a current up to date AHSAA Physical and fill out the Google Doc link: https://forms.gle/8npb45VErfNUQvRY7

On Fri, 4/29, the HHS PTSA Student Achievement (SA) Committee provided all 114 teachers at HHS with a bag of 6 full-size candy bars, and a teacher "Thank You" gift. Teachers gave out a candy bar in each of their (average) 6 classes, to an A/B or B/C student who is trying hard, improving, and/or showing good character. Note: All-A students were recognized at the Wed, 3/30 SA Prize Event.

Early Bird Award - Achieving 50% or more of previous year’s membership by 1 October
Golden Apple Award - 100% Faculty Membership by 1 October
Golden Leaf Award - Surpassing Membership of previous year
Oak Leaf Award - 20% increase over previous year’s membership

Directions: 1) Log into Naviance through your Clever account; 2)Click on "About Me" in the top right corner of your home page; 3) Click on "Sureveys From Your School"; 4) Click on "HCS Senior Exit Survey 2022"; 4) Be sure to push submit when you have completed it. If your Naviance isn't working, you may get a paper copy to complte from your senior counselor.

The HHS Senior Picnic is scheduled for Sunday, May 22 from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the Monte Sano Lodge.
We will have a Fiesta Picnic theme and all HHS 2022 Seniors are invited! There will be live music, great food, games and lots of door prizes. This will be a wonderful night to celebrate our amazing graduates.
Please consider helping sponsor this annual tradition by joining the host list. It is wholly funded by HHS parents/families/friends. To make it a success, we will need the support of many. The suggested host donation is $100 but we welcome any gift! The name of all hosts will appear on the invitation. Invitations/host list will be published May 1.

SUMMER SCHOOL
Registration will be available through May 13 for Credit Enhancement Courses only. Dr Ed, Health and Career Prep. Pay on myschoolfees.com choose public items, then summer school.
-Registration for Credit Recovery courses will be done onsite at Lee High School on June 1st and 2nd from 8am-4pm and June 3rd from 8am-1pm.

Huntsvillle City Councilman Bill Kling will be having public drop-in office hours on Monday, May 16, 6 PM, in Meeting Room A at the Huntsville Public Library. This is a chance for citizens to ask questions of, or request a city service from one of their city council members. Everyone is welcome to attend. |
