Calling all Volunteers - Campus Clean Up is coming, Saturday, October 29, 2022, from 8 am - 11 am.

We need teams, student groups, individual students, coaches, sponsors, teachers, parents, and community members to come out and help. We will work on laying down pine straw, picking up trash, trimming bushes/small trees, and power washing.

This is a GREAT way for students to get community service hours. Volunteers will assemble in the HHS Central Courtyard by the flagpool at 8 am.

October is Cybersecurity Month. And, HHS has one of the best cybersecurity programs in the state led by one of the best teachers possible, Mrs. Morse.

Huntsville HS Cyber Success beginning with the class of 2018:

  • CyberPatriot Nations Semi-finalists: 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022
  • CyberPatriot State Placer (1 – 3 in top division):  2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022
  • CyberPatriot National Ranking in the 99th or higher percentile:  2019, 2020, 2021, 2022
  • UAB CTF champions
  • National Cyber Summit Cyber Cup Challenge Education Division:  Students received Scholarship money and work offers from competing in 2019 (winners), 2021.  This year the team tied for 2nd, but lost out on the scholarship money because of the time tiebreaker fules.
  • Over 100 students in the college pursuing cybersecurity/computer science related degrees.
  • Dozens of students already working in the field.
  • Student interns as young as freshmen in HS.

In efforts to continue this success at HHS, the program has launched a fundraising campaign. Funds from this campaign will be used for new equipment and for travel to conferences and competitions. Link for donating:

Want to see some of your favorite pics from school events in this year's HHS Yearbook?

The Yearbook staff has a super cool way for all HHS students to upload pictures directly to the Yearbook staff with Balfour ImageShare. Balfour ImageShare is an APP that allows students to share their favorite high school images and possibly have them in the yearbook. The HHS Project number for the Yearbook this year is 301338 (It might also ask for an upload code, but that is not needed.)

If students already have the app, they will need to delete and redownload it and use the above Project Number for uploading pictures.

IMPORTANT TO NOTE: One detail that is super important is that this year's Yearbook will have an index. This means that every photo used in the Yearbook HAS to have the people in the photo tagged. This can be done prior to upload in the app. If photos are not tagged, we cannot use them.

Contact Mrs. Peck, yearbook sponsor, with questions.
