I am excited and pleased to announce that our Passport Acceptance Facility will open for business in early April. This service allows you to submit passport applications with staff trained as Passport Acceptance agents who will assist you to complete your forms and submit them to the Department of State.

In order to use this new service please call 908-757-1111 ext. 110 so that you can speak with one of our passport staff and make an appointment. Please note that this service is by appointment only and there will be no walk-ins. When you call you will receive information on what you will need to bring with you to start the passport process.

You will also be able to take advantage of our passport photo service, giving you the option of having your passport pictures taken here. We have bilingual passport staff so if your primary language is Spanish and you feel more comfortable conversing in Spanish that can be arranged when you call for your appointment. We are trying very hard to bring new services to the library and this is just one more example of our goals moving forward. If you have any questions, please feel free to call or ask someone at the Reference Desk and we will try to help.

Until next month,

Mary Ellen Rogan
