The Nutcracker with Touch The Music

Please join us on Thursday, December 17th at 6:00 p.m. for a hands-on musical program, in which children will be told the story of The Nutcracker, while listening to music of the Nutcracker Ballet by Tchaikovsky. After the story, they will have the opportunity to explore REAL musical instruments.  This program is for families with children ages 3-11.

Available Now - Historical Newspapers

Soon the Library will have online access to FIVE historical newspapers including, the New York Times, the Chicago Tribune, Wall Street Journal, Los Angeles Times, and the Washington Post. Visit the Library's website or contact the Reference Desk for more information.

Grant Awarded

The Local History Department has received a grant of $2,392 from the Plainfield Cultural & Heritage Commission to purchase supplies towards the repair and conservation of 20 ledgers in the Library's collection of Plainfield Police logs. We are so grateful for the Commission's support of this important project!
