Playaways are audiobooks that are ready-to-use and just need a pair of headphones.

A Planetarium in The Pool
Saturday, March 12th
Pool Area
12:30 p.m. - Grades K-4
2:00 p.m. - Grades 5-8
3:30 p.m. - Teens & Adults
The Plainfield Public Library will be hosting "What's Out There...A Planetarium Experience" on Saturday, March 12th in the Anne Louise Davis Room and Pool area.
Space is limited and attendance is on a first-come, first-served basis. Please meet in the Anne Louise Davis Room at the time designated for your age group. Don't miss your chance to see a planetarium in the pool!

March 5th at 2:00 p.m. - Celebrate National Craft Month!
Children can come and help us celebrate with a program that will include music, games, balloons, and of course a craft! - Parents please bring child safety scissors for your child to use.
March 16th at 3:30 p.m. - STEAMtastic
STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics. Come join us for a story and hands-on activities that will explore the Stars, Planets and Moon.
March 18th at 2:30 p.m. - Makers Day
Join us for New Jersey
Makers Day! We will be making and providing materials for kids of all ages to make their own Slime, Gumdrop & Toothpick Structures, or a hologram projector for smarth phones.
Saturdays at 10:30 a.m. - Young Athletes @ Plainfield
A collaboration with Special Olympics of New Jersey, Young Athletes is an inclusive sports play program for children ages 2 to 7 and will begin this Saturday March 5th. All participants must register at

Support the Library this Tax Season!
How to Donate
On your New Jersey Income Tax form, on Line 64, “Other Designated Contributions,” enter code number 20 for the Local Library Support Fund and the amount you would like to contribute.
The amount you donate will reduce your refund or increase your balance due.
How will your donation help?
Funds will be distributed annually by the State Librarian to county and municipal libraries in accordance with State Library Aid Law. Libraries may use the funds to support library purposes, including:
- Purchasing books for children, teens and adults
- Summer Reading program materials and events
- Early literacy materials
