Food for Fines

Our annual Food for Fines donation drive wraps up at the end of December (a couple of days from the time of writing), with over 700lbs of food having been donated!
We'll have a final figure in February's Library Newsletter.

Food for Fines has become something of an annual tradition for the Library, and it's been great to see it continue strongly year on year. Thank you to everyone who participated for your generous and thoughtful donations of food which will go to help those in need.
Afternoon Films for Adults at the Library

Our new season of afternoon movies continues on January 15th at 1pm in the Anne Louise Davis room, with the film A Wrinkle in Time (2018),  based on Madeleine L'Engle's 1962 novel of the same name. Starring Oprah Winfrey, Reese Witherspoon, Mindy Kaling, Storm Reid, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Michael Peña, Zach Galifianakis, and Chris Pine, A Wrinkle in Time is a science fantasy story of a young girl who, with the help of three astral travelers, sets off on a quest to find her missing father.

Many more films follow, so keep an eye on the billing and don't miss a chance to see your favorites on our big screen!

2019 Museum Pass Program

The Library's popular Museum Pass Program has been refreshed with some returning and some new attractions.

Memoir Writing Club
Thursday, January 10th
10:30 am in room 8 (lower level)

This month's optional writing topic is "Team Projects".

Have you ever served on a committee, joined friends or family to plan an event, or tackled any kind of project as a member of a team? (Even just one other person counts.)  Did it go well? Did you vow never to do anything like it again? Come and tell us all about it in January.

The Library's Memoir Writing Club offers members a comfortable forum for sharing stories of important events, friendships, and family history. Do you have memories that you would like to share? Come join the Memoir Writing Club. Before a session, participants write down their memories - creating a Memoir. During meetings, members share what they've written on a topic. At the end of each meeting the group chooses an optional topic for the next session, but individual members are free to write about whatever inspires them.
