Welcome to 2025! We hope your year is filled with all sorts of good things. We'll be here for you with a whole world to discover through programs, books, events and more. Make 2025 your year:
- for more discovery with our vast array of learning materials on a galaxy of subjects and interests,
- for more fun with crafts, games, arts and maker events
- for more friendship with our community events and spaces
2025 will be a flagship year for us with a big building program that will provide our patrons with more meeting and event spaces than ever before, beef up our digital networks, and allow us to revamp our look and how we are able to meet your needs when you first come through the door, Stay tuned for more on our project as the timeline for all our changes comes into focus in the new year.
Our programming sees in the new year with lots for everyone to do. You can enjoy a fun painting project with the Paint on! Mini Wish boxes program for tweens and teens (4-6pm), in Room 2 on Jan 2, or come join in at our Board Games Night, 6-7:30pm in Room 2, on Jan 15.
Feeling like a fun snack program this month? We've got you covered on World Popcorn Day (yes, this is a thing!) - get popping and seasoning at our Popcorn Day Program, 3:30-4:30pm - Room 2, on Jan 23, for ages 8-up.
This is the perfect time to join our popular Book Club for Adults, meeting again this month 7-8:30pm on Jan 29, Room 5, to discuss Jeanette McCurdy's book,
I'm Glad my Mom Died, based on her one-woman show. We'll have extra copies of the book available for book club attendees while stocks last. Members meet up and chat about this month's book or what they've been reading, together. As always it's free and very welcoming to new members - and you don't need to have read the book they're currently discussing.
Mark your Calendars for February - we have an exciting Jazz concert lined up with the wonderful Bradford Hayes Quartet, coming up on Feb 13th. Last year's event was a big draw, so get here early to get a seat!
That's just a taste of some of what's coming up; the best way to see what's coming your way in the coming weeks is check in on our constantly-updated Live calendar.

George & Martha Washington: A Love Story (Theatrical Portrayal)
Saturday, February 2, 2025 @ noon in the ALD room
Join us as we begin to celebrate America 250! These days we often see America’s first “First Couple” as very old people, in stodgy portraits. However, at the start of the American Revolution, they were in their 40s, a vibrant couple in middle age. They lived and loved and had their joys as well as their trials. Come learn about this important couple as well as the people who surrounded them and helped them achieve all that they did. Hear from them about how they met, about their marriage, their families, their responsibilities and, of course, about their love. It is educational, emotional and romantic.
