Welcome to Plainfield Public Library's July Newsletter. You'll find several Space-themed programs on offer during the summer as we join celebrations of 50 years of Apollo 11, and join with hundreds of other libraries making "A Universe of Stories" our Children's Summer reading theme. We hope you'll find something you'll love doing with us in July, and as always, we're here to help with all your reading, entertainment and research needs (as well as being a cool place to spend an hour or two when it's hot!)

Have a great July, Plainfield!

Set the Controls for Teen Space Programs!

Teen programs for July are still bound for the stars, whether it's Space Statistics Card Games (7/8), Retro Space Gaming (7/15), or collaborating on a print project to create a giant Space Station (7/22).

We're also keeping it going in the Code Dungeons (not all that space-y, but still fun if you enjoy battling trolls and goblins with the power of Python Scripting!) with our Tuesday/Wednesday Code Combat program. Code Combat is a self-paced online environment to teach basic Python computer coding skills by controlling a hero character to battle monsters and obtain precious, precious loot!
