We've got a new catalog system and a new name for our Library Consortium! We've long been a part of the Libraries of Middlesex Automation Consortium (LMxAC) along with 37 (and counting) other Library Services, meaning we share a catalog and can move books around between us to share our collections. Well, the eagle-eyed among you will have noticed that we are not actually located in Middlesex County (and neither were a good number of the other member libraries), so the time had come for a name change, and so we are now part of STELLA (Sharing & Technology Enhancing Local Library Access). It's the same consortium with a sparkling new name!
Along with the name change we got a shiny new catalog system that comes with some good new features for users, like the ability to see items you're searching for in
all the different formats it's available, in one search. (So for instance, you might see a book, a movie and a large print version come up in sections of the same search result.) You'll still find our catalog via the library's home page, or directly at https://plf.search.stellanj.org/
Our patrons don't have to make any changes - you should hopefully find the changeover a smooth process. We hope you'll find the new catalog functions very much in the way you've gotten used to, but if you do run into anything unfamiliar or which doesn't seem quite right, we really want to know, so get in touch with us at 908 -757-1111 ext. 112 and we can be your guide to our new systems. |

Our Summer Programs are here!
You'll see lots of fun events, crafts, and more over the summer months.
And a heads up - since we're now in official Summer Reading Club time, you can start to earn entries in our Summer Library Club raffle. You'll be able to gain entries by:
► coming to a library program, or,
► sending us short/ teeny-tiny reviews of books, movies or music you've enjoyed (or not enjoyed so much! - Tell us in your review!)
The more entries you get, the better your chances are of winning a prize!
Our whole program wraps up on August 16th with a fun party for teens in Library Park, with refreshments, music and more.
Please check out the Library Calendar for full details of all our upcoming programs, and drop us a line with any questions! Looking forward to seeing you there!
