Current Exhibits

"Join the Club!
A Look Back at Some of Plainfield's Clubs & Organizations,"

The Local History Department's current exhibit, will run through July 2015. The exhibit is on display in the lobby, reading room, and on the lower level in room 8.

Spring Has Sprung
The Photograpy of Richard Lear will be on display through August 31, 2015 in the Anne Louise Davis Room.

Computer Classes and Individual Appointments are finished for the summer. Keep an eye out in August for more information about the fall series.

The Library is now selling 8GB USB Lanyards at the Circulation Desk for $12/each.

Mobile Printing is coming soon! Patrons will be able to print their document from their mobile device or remotely. Ask at the Reference Desk for more information.

Children's Summer Reading Program


 The Children's Department Summer Reading Club 2015 is ready to kick-off! This year's theme is "Every Hero Has A Story" and the program will run from June 22nd through August 7th. All children in pre-school through eight grade are encouraged to participate! Babies and toddlers may participate by having a parent, guardian, or older sibling read to them. Registration will begin on June 22nd, and run through July 17th.  There will be reading incentives, storytimes, crafts, and many special performances! T-Rex Visits the Library!

 To mark the beginning of registration period, we've invited T-Rex and the Dinosaur Troubadour from Field Station Dinosaurs. They will visit us on Monday, June 22nd at 11:00 a.m. in the Library Park.

Earl Hicks a.k.a "Mr. Zoom" from Zoom Balloons will be our first special performer on Thursday June 25th at 2:00 p.m. in the Anne Louise Davis Room. He will bring music, balloon art, comedy, and magic. A show the whole family can enjoy!

Adult Summer Reading Fun


Reading Bingo! Fill out your reading bingo card between June 15 and August 10th and return it to the Library for a prize. All participants will be entered in the Grand Prize drawing.

Join us on Friday, July 17th for our Superhero/Villain scavenger hunt day! Come to the library and see how many staff members you can find dressed in costume.
