From the Desk of the Director...
 |
As you visit the library this month you will see the changes that will culminate in our return to normal service.
On June 1, as per Governor Murphy's guidelines, masks will not be required, though those who remain unvaccinated are encouraged to continue to wear their masks.
The Library's new Service Kiosk will be operational soon and allow remote printing from handheld devices. The Kiosk will also enable you to add money to your card for printing and the purchase of items held behind the circulation desk.
Our Reference Desk has been moved to the front of the building allowing for easier staff and patron interaction. The construction of the new 1st floor bathrooms is underway and will continue throughout the summer. Once completed they will include additional ADA facilities.
Another service returning in June is the ability to browse the stacks for titles and authors. You will notice the collection is being weeded and we will be constructing additional spaces for the public on the first floor. This new development will include study rooms and another computer lab by next year. So look for other new services.
We at the library are here for you and hope to see you all at the library as we move forward.
Stay safe and well,
Mary Ellen Rogan
