Your Support Is Needed!

Attention Plainfield Public Library Champions!

This coming Tuesday evening (November 9th) the Plainfield City Council will be hearing the Library’s request for 2010-2011 funding.

Due to budget cuts, the Plainfield Library has been closed Saturday afternoons and evening hours, hindering the studies of students and depriving community groups access to free meeting rooms that they have come to depend on.

If you believe that the library should be open longer hours to help students, job seekers, community groups needing meeting rooms, and adults wanting to improve their English skills, please show your support.  Come to City Hall on Tuesday night at 7:30pm and lend your voice of support.

If you cannot be at the meeting, call or email the City Councilmember for your Ward.  You can do that conveniently by clicking here , where you will find email links to all members of the City Council.

We are fortunate that many of the members of our City Council are Library supporters, but they need to hear from their constituents that the Library is important to them and their children.

Thank you,

Joe Da Rold

Director
