I warned you that week 17 was tough but the good news is that now we are an official handicapping champion, beating 100+ others with the patented MPI in the 8th edition of the World Series of Handicapping!  

Back to week 17. It is just as hard as weeks 1 and 2 where there is no data. The problem is that a lot of teams are resting starters, some do it half way, others hold off their best players to save them for the playoffs and the motivation level is highly variable with upsets all the time. 

Results:  We had a very average 3-4 week, but finished the year very impressively at 106-75-7 (59%)!

In review, after having picked 181 decided games in the first two years we are red hot!    We have the mental understanding on our side. But with only 181 win or loss games played, there is a long way to go to achieve statistical certainty at a level I am comfortable with. Everything is smooth sailing so far. One thing different from what I am doing versus so many others is that I am tough on myself. I will not declare victory until there are over 300, and maybe even 400 picks in ... and we probably need 1000 to convince some of the slower learners in sports about the extreme value of knowing mental performance.
