I am sending this NFL week 15 newsletter to my entire list. If you have not been on the weekly NFL Picks list, this is an example of what you get each week, and if you choose to sign up for regular newsletters for the final 3 weeks of this NFL season, and next year too, just go to and you will find a sign-up form. Just enter your email address and you are in.

Why would you want this? For one, you might love football. Secondly, we are slowly but surely validating what I believe will become the most successful football picking method in the world, and it is based on the fact that we measure the mental game and implement it in the selections using an adaptation of the patented MPI scoring system.

Use this for what you want, but it was never intended for gambling or betting ... but rather to show how vital the mental game is to performance. It is an offshoot of my book "The Mental Performance Index" written in 2011 and revised in 2013 and supported by some of the biggest names in pro football including Don Shula, Tom Flores, NFL Films and many more.

And remember, if you review the site at you will see that the best NFL handicappers on the planet who pick sides are not able to get above 52% success long-term. We are doing better than that. When enough games have accumulated that show statistically that this is not a function of chance, we will know what we have, and I am confident we will be very pleased. Let the data collection continue, and the entire story and challenge is posted on the pages of the Football Shrink site. So please sign up if you have not already!

Let's get on to it! Week 14 was excellent. The Football Shrink's MPI system went 4-1 on Sunday after losing on Thursday night, for a total week 14 record of 4-2 (67%). I will take that every time. There were some truly counterintuitive results, such as the Raiders over the Steelers and the Ravens cover against the Chiefs, and that is why I rely on serious scientific research of 40 years and almost 10,000 past games plus two serious computer programs. This is very serious and very fun and we are doing it!

Let's get right into the week 15 picks after having conducted the analyses. We only have 4 solid picks this week:

(1) Take the Chargers +3.5 away against the Chiefs (Bovada, -110).

(2) Take the Cardinals +9 away against the Falcons (Bookmaker, -115).

(3) Take the Redskins +7 away against the Jaguars (Heritage, -108).

(4) Take the Dolphins +8 away against the Vikings (BetOnline, -110).

By the way, if you did not see the Dolphins "Miracle in Miami" with no time remaining, a short pass and two laterals that went almost 70 yards for the winning touchdown, you have to see it online now! It was perhaps the most exciting finish I have ever seen in a game. It was the longest touchdown ever scored with no time remaining in NFL history (or at least since the 1970 merger) and they did it against the mighty Patriots! Miami is abuzz with excitement as they should be ... but can they win out and make the playoffs?

Good Luck and enjoy this season before it is all over! And please sign up for the football and picks newsletter if you have not already. It is far beyond picking NFL games. This extension of my book is a meaningful quest to show the world how vital the mental game is in sports. By having access to an adaptation of the valuable MPI, we have some insight into mental performance which few have, and that is why we can picks games better than most too. That is at least the argument ... and this season has nothing to take me away me from my conviction. We are doing it!
