Hello again, and a warm welcome to the new subscribers this week. I know some of you personally, or through my sports psychology work, and others I have no idea if you are real, or a bot, but that's ok, I've added you in! So we take all comers ... robots, real people, past clients, friends, enemies, rivals ... the only prerequisite is to love football and join me on this exciting mission to be the best ever at picking games (showing the extreme value of mental factors!).
Last week, we made 4 picks early and then added 2 more picks on Sunday when the lines shifted, leading to a total of 6 picks overall for week 5, and we went 2-4. It was the worst week of the year so far, but when you consider it was only 1 game below .500, it was really par for the course and nothing to fret about.
In week 5, we were correct on the Colts and the Raiders and we missed on the Buccaneers, Redskins, Jets and Browns.
The overall record is now 66-52-4, just about 56% (+911).
For week 5, the picks I have made are below, and they appear both on the football shrink site, and on sports watch monitor where I compete against about 100 other top handicappers. Total transparency and honesty is the only way to go when trying to be the best. A lot of people in politics could learn from that approach, but we will avoid politics at the risk of getting half of you to love me more and half of you to hate me more LOLOLOL ... let's stick to football here!
Here are the picks for week 6, and all games are played on Sunday:
(1) Take the Bengals +11.5 away against the Ravens (Bookmaker, -108).
(2) Take the 49ers +3.5 away against the Rams (Heritage, -108).
(3) Take the Cardinals +2.5 home against the Falcons (Jazz, -105).
(4) Take the Steelers +6.5 away against the Chargers (Bookmaker, -119).
(5) Take the Texans +4.5 away against the Chiefs (CG Technology, -110).
While my opinion does not matter, as this system is based on complex metrics and 2 major programs that have evolved over the years, when I look at the above picks I am a little unsure about the 49ers game. The Rams are ready for a big breakout. I am also a little concerned about the Chiefs blasting the Texans. What is funny is that you never really know until the games are played. You can think you have 5 solid picks and they all bomb, or you can think you have a terrible card and you win them all!
In review, we are now 66-52-4 overall!
Good Luck and enjoy the games this week!
