STILL NO LOSING WEEKS TO REPORTThis is Rare!
In week 6 we hit .500 again with a 5-5 record, and we also got the first pick correct in week 7 on Thursday night. So we've now gone 6 weeks in a row with not one losing week. That is pretty exciting. While I would prefer to go 10-0 every week, I am not fake and the MPI is not fake. Picking the team to cover is one of the hardest things to do in sports and we are possibly or probably the best in the world at what we are doing over the past 3 years.
This is no small feat! I am not bending spoons or reading drawings from another room like my friend Uri Geller in England and I've never tried walking on water or pulling a rabbit out of my hat. BUT ... in an even more difficult task of predicting an unknown future (in NFL football) we are absolutely killing it and we are doing it without any psychic powers, trickery or training as a magician. This is just the plain old fashioned methodical application of science, statistics, mental performance measurement and football knowledge. As you can tell, I am excited. The algorithm I built works and I love it!
Some handicappers claim 80% success (totally fake), most politicians promise the world and lie like h***, and fake news outlets just report what their coroporate bosses demand to push a political agenda .... AND that is precisely why this endeavor which is 100% honest, fun and successful is so important in our world today. In an often fake world ... we rule!
Sports are usually more honest than most activities in life anyway. That is true until they find a way to cheat in baseball by stealing signs or using steroids, or deflating footballs and spying on opponents. But you cannot cheat in handicapping a football game or predicting the future. You will either be right or wrong and the whole world will know. Period.
The overall record well into the third year is an extremely impressive and rare:
145 - 99 - 7 (59.43%, +3619)
We also went uup to #3 in the world from #4 overall on the Sports Watch Monitor.
We covered the spread on the Lions, Steelers, Bengals, Dolphins, and Chiefs and failed to cover on the Vikings, Giants, Ravens, Packers, and Rams.
In Week 7 we picked the Giants (+4) to cover against the Eagles, and when the Eagles won the game 22-21, we grabbed the cover!
Since we've been on a .500 run the past two weeks, I've decided to cut back to only 7 picks this week.
