Week One was Great: Now let's get right into the picks for week 2.
Here you go:
(1) In tonight's Thursday Night Football game, take the Carolina Panthers -6.5 (Heritage, -108) at home against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
(2) Take the Los Angeles Rams -2.5 (Heritage, -108) at home against the New Orleans Saints.
(3) Take the Kansas City Chiefs -7 (Heritage, -108) on the road against the Oakland Raiders.
(4) Take the San Francisco 49ers +2.5 (Heritage, -108) away against the Cincinnati Bengals.
(5) Finally, on Monday Night Football, take the New York Jets +2.5 (Heritage, -103) home against the Cleveland Browns.
There you have it - 5 picks for week 2! This is risky, as I have suggested before to make these many picks in weeks 1 and 2, but I really liked the lines and there were some nice historical trends. The overall prediction success should be better starting in week 3 as there is real and recent data driving the MPI more than just what happened in week 1 combined with past archival data.
Going into week 2, our overall record is now 56-42-4, a nice 57% winning percentage. All is good, but there is so long to go, and I do not want to make any misleading statements. Statistics can be unreliable when too many chance elements are involvedwith a small sample size, but the more data we collect, the closer we come to true population scores - and complete world dominance LOLOLOL!
Good Luck and enjoy the game tonight between two top quarterbacks!
