Week Two was Another Very Good Success (3-2, 60%).

The Overall Record is Now 59-44-4 (57.28%, +1086). We are doing it one game at a time! 

In week two of the NFL season, we got it correct on the Rams, Chiefs and 49ers, and we missed on the Panthers and Jets. The Jets game was frustrating as the starting quarterback went down later in the week well after we made the pick and the line change dramatically in favor of the Browns. To fix that, I have decided to hold off a little later each week, as I am doing now in week 3 and making the picks on a Thursday rather than on Mondays or Tuesday as I had been doing. 

Here are the picks for week 3:

(1)  Take the Bills at home -6 against the Bengals (BetOnline, -108)

(2) Take the Raiders away +9 against the Vikings (Heritage, -108)

(3) Take the Panthers away +1.5 against the Cardinals (CG Technology, -110)

(4) Take the 49ers home -6 against the Steelers (CG Technology, -108)

(5) Take the Jets away +23 against the Patriots (CG Technology, -110)

That 5th game is particularly interesting. Can the Patriots keep defying reality or will they finally hit a snag in terms of covering? When a team is a 23 point underdog, they will cover that spread at least 60 to 70% of the time historically ... so it is an easy pick to make, but you never know!

We are now into the week 3-17 phase. We survived the very difficult first two weeks with a 5-3 record. That may not seem like much but it is 63% success so far this year. That is fantastic. Most people cannot pick better than a fish at 50% against the line, and that includes the television so called experts!

In review, we are now overall 59-44-4!
