COVID-19 Impact on A/E Firms
Many design firms have been impacted by COVID-19. Some firms have seen an increase in project opportunities while others have had a reduction in design services.
Opportunities have come from retrofitting current projects to addressing social distancing requirements, implementing modern UV lighting, HVAC systems, supporting telecommunication projects, etc.
Project delays and suspension have been driven by restriction on construction, project type(s), Owners being cautious, government entities ill equiped to work remotely, or supply chain problems.
To obtain a measure of changes related to revenue, staffing, project types, causes for growth, delays, suspensions, services and potential risk factors for A/E firms, SmartRisk is conducting a brief ten (10) question, radio button survey.
