OCTAE Presents the Advancing Equity
in Career-Connected Education Summit

Join the Office of Career, Technical, and Adult Education (OCTAE) on Wednesday, February 2, 2022, from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm ET for the U.S. Department of Education’s 2022 Advancing Equity in Career-Connected Education Summit. As part of the Department of Education’s implementation of Executive Order 13985, Racial Equity and Support for Underserved Communities through Federal Government, the 2022 Advancing Equity in Career-Connected Education Summit is an important component of the Department’s work. In addition to furthering OCTAE’s goals of providing meaningful access to and preparation for college and career pathways for youth and adults, the Advancing Equity Summit also encourages young people and adults to become more entrepreneurial.

Project Updates

DRAW EdTech Maker Space Launch
The DRAW EdTech Maker Space project launched last Friday, January 21st! We had 70 registered participants from 25 states, and 3 other countries (Hi, Canada and Jordan!) and are off to an exciting start, evaluating the content of the Digital Skills Library and filling any gaps. By the end of this curation project, we have a goal to add 500 unique resources to the Digital Skills Library. We’ll need YOUR help! Soon, we’ll share an Activity Submission Form so that anyone can add aligned, open resources to the Digital Skills Library. Stay tuned!
