Events & Announcements

Saint Lucia ConnectEd Activity
Launch Event
The Saint Lucia ConnectED Activity, a two-year initiative funded by the United States Agency for International Development, was launched by World Education on September 24, 2021. World Education designed the Saint Lucia ConnectEd Activity in collaboration with Saint Lucia's Department of Education, Innovation, and Gender Relations. Saint Lucia National Youth Council, among others, will participate as collaborators to improve the country's quality of teaching and learning by empowering youth and educators as digital literacy leaders in their communities.
Introducing the
EdTech Integration Strategy Toolkit
Inspired in many ways by the innovative ideas that have been shared by practitioners during the past 18 months through our Distance Education Strategy Sessions, the EdTech Center is excited to introduce the EdTech Integration Strategy Toolkit! Come join ETC’s Jeff Goumas as he shares the toolkit, which is chock full of effective edtech routines rooted in evidence-based strategies, along with over 1,000 curated digital skills learning activities crowdsourced by educators as part of our Spring 2021 EdTech Maker Space! On Friday, November 12th at 1PM EST, we’ll discuss ways to use the toolkit, as well as upcoming opportunities for you to contribute to what we hope will be a growing, go-to resource for adult educators.

What We're Reading

How to Identify and Address Bias in
Educational Technology
Both educational technology providers of instructional and assessment solutions must learn from student experiences in order to provide the necessary context, details, or additional content so that all learners have access to the knowledge and skills they need to fully understand and demonstrate their abilities. This article discusses the ways a student's placement and intervention options can be affected directly by data from programs, and why it is important for educational technology providers to continually adjust their assessment processes and content.
