Announcing the Transforming Immigrant Digital Equity (TIDE) Project
We are thrilled to announce the launch of the Transforming Immigrant Digital Equity (TIDE) project! TIDE aims to increase access to ESOL learning and related immigrant integration services for immigrants and refugees through scalable, sustainable models and services that optimize technology use. Building on the Remote ESOL Project findings, the program will also educate service providers and policymakers at three levels: Effective practice, effective advocacy, and replicable local models.
Readability at the Skoll World Forum
The EdTech Center is thrilled to join partners Readability Matters, Adobe, University of Central Florida, and others to present on building better reading through personalized digital text. This year's 2022 Skoll World Forum is a free, all-virtual event designed for learning, connection, and taking action for those dedicated to social progress. Join us for this participatory session on April 8 at 1 PM Eastern.
Distance Education Strategy Session:
The Digital Equity Act
and Professional Development with Purpose
We’re covering two hot topics in our upcoming Distance Ed Strategy Session on Friday, April 8th at 1PM! In our first lightning talk, we’ll get a quick Digital Equity Act (DEA) 101 to prepare for the upcoming funding for digital access. In the second lightning talk, we’ll hear from Arizona educators that have participated in and designed their own EdTech Maker Space projects, a unique approach to professional development that harnesses the power of collaboration, edtech, and Open Educational Resources (OER). Following each lightning talk, please stick around to chat more with the presenter of your choice from 2 - 2:30pm ET.
