Distance Education Strategy Sessions:
Defining + Navigating Digital Skills
Join us today at 1:00 Eastern as we explore how to develop the digital skills adult learners need for success. During this session, Stacey Wedlake, Research Scientist at the Technology and Social Change Group (TASCHA) at the University of Washington, will share a skills framework designed to answer the question: What digital skills do people need to learn to participate in today’s world?

Then, the EdTech Center’s Priyanka Sharma will share the recently launched Digital Navigator Hub, which includes guides and aligned learning resources organizations can use to provide on-demand tech support to learners; relevant information to secure connectivity and devices; and foundational digital skills, learning and job training.
Addressing Racial Equity in our
Adult Education Classrooms, Programs, and the Field
This April, World Education is excited to launch our three-part series of webinars that will examine how implicit racial bias shows up in adult education and creates inequity for learners. This series will highlight several areas in the field where the implicit bias exists, and suggest ways of dealing with them. These webinars are free to attend, with the option to join for just one or all three.

  • April 13, 2021, 4:00 to 5:30 PM ET, “Implicit Bias”
  • April 20, 2021, 4:00 to 5:30 PM ET, “Classroom Strategies for Talking about Race”
  • April 27, 2021, 4:00 to 5:30 PM ET, “Action Steps for Programs and the Field Addressing Racial Equity”
Explore NCTN's
Personal & Workplace Success Skills Library
On Thursday, April 29th from 3:00 - 4:15 pm (EDT), join an online guided tour of The National College Transition Network (NCTN) Personal & Workplace Success Skills Library (PWSS). The PWSS Library is a collection of resources to guide the integration of personal and workplace success skills into curriculum and instruction, advising and coaching, assessment, and program design. These resources were selected for adult education, higher education, workforce development, and career and technical education programs serving adult and older youth learners and workers, including English language learners.
