U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation:
Preparing All Workers and Learners to Participate in the New Digital Economy

Employer investment in digital inclusion and skills is critical for an equitable recovery and building a stronger, savvier, diverse workforce longer term, write Joshua Westfall of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation in a new joint blog with the Digital US coalition. They argue that closing the digital divide is an equity imperative and an economic imperative as jobs increasingly require digital skills and as employers shift to skill-based hiring systems that will require workers to navigate online platforms to share their skills and apply for work.

Small Group Coaching TODAY!

The EdTech Center @ World Education is offering free small group and 1:1 coaching. This opportunity is running from June to September and is connected to our Distance Education Strategy Sessions. We aim to provide additional support to the field by connecting coaching to specific topics and practice areas presented during the strategy sessions. Note that you can also book 15-30 min sessions with coaches directly on any one of the topics they have presented on; this includes: selecting an LMS, Wakelet, Google Sites, Google Classroom, and more! Learn more here.

Today’s session at 1 PM Eastern will cover how to design a Weebly class website. Come learn or get a refresher on how to design an easy to read, user-friendly Weebly website for your class. Did you know you can add your existing Weebly websites into Google Classroom? Come back with your questions for a second session after you have had a chance to explore Weebly.
