The National Immigration Forum, Community College Consortium for Immigrant Education, and the EdTech Center @ World Education have teamed up to deliver a webinar for Welcoming Week 2020 that you won’t want to miss! We’ll cover the following:
- Explore learnings and effective practices from an industry-contextualized, 100% remote English training program centered on building the language skills that immigrant workers need to be successful at their jobs and increase advancement opportunities;
- Tools and approaches used to deliver online learning and remote live instruction, including tips for adapting in-person instruction for distance learning; and
- Strategies for building multi-sector partnerships to increase access and create welcoming communities.

Join the EdTech Center and partners on these webinars scheduled Fridays at 10:00 Pacific, 12:00 Central, 1:00 Eastern. Each webinar will feature lightning talks, breakout discussions, and group Q&A. Our new schedule will resume on October 9th and will take place on the second Friday of each month. We hope to see you there!

Microsoft:
Everyone Should Have Access to Digital Skills
|

|
Microsoft has launched a community and digital skills grant program, which will include a $15 million investment for Black- and African American-led nonprofits working to increase skill development and economic opportunities. Funding will be in the form of three-year unrestricted cash grants of up to $100,000 per year for up to 50 eligible US nonprofit organizations. Read more.
