Project Updates
2019 IDEAL Consortium:
Thank You!

The EdTech Center @ World Education hosted its fourth IDEAL Consortium Summer Institute on August 20 -21, 2019. At the two-day convening, Adult Basic Ed professional development, technology, and policy leaders from the 14 member states shared challenges, priorities, and ideas for effective practice. As in previous years, participants took home ideas to enhance or expand the distance and blended learning opportunities they provide to their states’ ABE learners.

What our partners are saying:
The IDEAL Consortium provides our state with many thoughtful and useful resources for distance learning and digital literacy. The annual conference is especially worthwhile, as practice and thought leaders come together and share successes, initiatives, and emerging ideas. Also important is the opportunity to come together with others who understand and are dedicated to providing effective online learning for their adult students. I would strongly encourage other states to join IDEAL as an invaluable resource.”

8 Tips for Implementing Learning Circles in Any Program

Learning Circles shape more than just the classroom—they shape the whole student experience. Just as the image of a circle evokes inclusion, the Learning Circle model emphasizes that learning is for everyone. Peer 2 Peer University (P2PU), a not-for-profit organization, pioneered Learning Circles in the U.S. and internationally with the intention creating and sustaining learning communities in public spaces around the world.
