EDTECH CENTER PROJECT UPDATES

New Project: Technology Testing for Adult Learning and Employment

The EdTech Center is pleased to announce a new project with Walmart and the Employment Technology Fund (ETF) in which we are field testing tech tools for lower-skilled workers. Lessons learned from the field tests will be shared with the tool's developers to help the products have the greatest impact in advancing economic mobility. We will also be identifying and sharing promising practices along the way - watch our newsletter for more information!

ETF is currently investigating which tools they will be in investing in. Types of technology solutions that they are considering include:

  • Learning & Training,
  • Assessment & Matching,
  • Mentoring & Support, and
  • Job Search & Placement.

The first two tools that the ETF has selected are Cell-Ed and Northstar. Field test sites in diverse settings are being identified for testing to start in early 2018.
