Technology Testing for Adult Learning and Employment (TTALE) - Webinar Recording Available Now!

Visit our website to see the latest webinar on the conclusion of the TTALE project.

Over the past year, the EdTech Center has been field testing seven education and workforce development technologies funded by the Employment Technology Fund: Care Academy, Cell-Ed, Nepris, Northstar Digital Literacy Assessment, PAIRIN, Signal Vine, and SkillSmart. Our work, supported by Walmart, has shed light on the affordances of the tools and characteristics of the use scenarios that support persistence and learner success.

We shared these findings in a webinar and feature stories of end-users and learners who characterize the field testing participants that we met along the way. Additionally, you can hear from industry experts, key field test implementers, and developers who responded to the findings and answered your questions.

NEW ON TECH TIPS

Signal Vine’s Hand In Workforce Development

Signal Vine is a text messaging platform funded by the Employment Technology Fund. The EdTech Center field tested Signal Vine as part of our Technology Testing for Adult Learning and Employment initiative. We worked with the Orange County Asian And Pacific Islander Community Alliance (OCAPICA) to develop an understanding of how texting can improve workforce development program participant engagement. Through this work we learned about the promise of text nudging platforms in adult learning and workforce development.
