Support for Citizenship. We hosted our first citizenship clinic of the year this past April 12th, in collaboration with American Gateways, Texas AFL-CIO and Congressman Greg Casar's Office. A huge thanks to the organizations that were also part of our mini resource fair! May 2024 Immigrant Affairs Update (May 2024)
SB4 Resources. SB4 (mandatory minimum) from special session 3 went into effect on February 6. SB4 (unlawful entry) remains blocked by the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals. Immigrant Inclusion Mini Grants. In the Fall of 2023, the Equity Office announced a call for applications for the second round of immigrant inclusion mini grants. The number of applications we received surpassed our expectations and subsequently delayed our timeline for announcing the recipients.
